Best Beer Dip Recipe | Superbowl Snack | Lawrence KS

This beer dip is my go to when needing to prepare an appetizer or snack for a group.  It is amazing when served with honey wheat pretzel sticks or these little pretzl squares.

BEST BEER DIP

2 – 8 oz packages cream cheese, softened (can mix it up with nonfat or go for regular)
1 – 1 oz package ranch dressing mix (will be the powder kind)
2 Cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
3 stalks green onion, chopped finely
1/4 to 1/3 Cup Beer – any brand but make sure you like it

Mix cream cheese in mixing bowl until smooth.  Add ranch dressing mix, green onions and cheese one cup at a time.  Add beer last and mix slowly or you will have a mess!  Mixture will appear very mushy (please don’t skimp on the beer – mixture will “firm” up and will be the perfect consistency after refrigeration).  Cover and place in fridge for 3 hours or overnight for best results (the longer it sits the better it will be!)

Feel free to add whatever you would like to this recipe – I have a friend who decided to add artichoke hearts to her beer dip!

This recipe is a must for Superbowl Sunday, camping weekends, bon fire nights, or potlucks.  It makes quite a bit but always goes fast.  Enjoy!
