After the Mother and Daughter sessions I did recently (see HERE and HERE and HERE), Ms. B responded to a facebook post special because she wanted to schedule a session with her daughter. I always love when Mamas contact me wanting to schedule a session WITH their children because this is such an important thing to do!
As moms, we are usually the ones behind the camera snapping away at our precious children. Though this is fabulous and captures those silly and candid memories, one day our kiddos might look thru the pile of prints and wonder why their Mama wasn’t in many. A lot of times the ‘what if / should of / could of / wait till’ game gets played and we put off having our photos taken with our children or as a family.
Sweet Mama’s, please don’t put these special moments off. Capture images of you WITH your children in every chance you get. It doesn’t even have to be done by a professional. That next picture you take of your kids with your camera phone – hop in there with them and take a group selfie. Want to create a quick memory and tons of giggles? Make silly faces at each other and catch them on camera! Because one day when your children are looking thru those boxes of prints (or camera photos) they will cherish the loving smile of a Mama who is beautiful and confident and theirs.
