Most created chocolate CAKE (CUPCAKE) RECIPE | JB Bakehouse

It is no secret I love chocolate.

And that chocolate cake recipe I shared in 2019 has turned into my most used recipe when making chocolate cupcakes or a cake. Admittedly though, I change up the base recipe with various ingredients that I’ve found throughout the years that bump up that “YUMMY” factor. (One being to substitute some of the water with brewed (cooled) coffee.)

Funny story – as I’ve put on the home page, my middle boy when he was about 5 years old used to tell me if something I made was “yummy stuff”, or, “yucky stuff”. He would even ask me while I was making it, if it was yummy stuff or yucky stuff. It was the cuuuutest thing eva and of course these terms are still used to this day – much to his chagrin, of course. 😉

Granted, that recipe was posted in 2019 and the ingredients have been tweaked some since then but that basic recipe is still very tasty.

As you can see by the images in this post, the recipe creates a very shiny and pretty cupcake. These cupcakes with a cream cheese frosting are so delish and get a review of VERY yummy stuff. lol
