As stated in a recent post when my kids’ birthday’s come around and I find out what kind of cake they want it is no surprise my first born wants an ice cream cake. My kiddos loooove ice cream as I’m sure every kid in America does. My kids would eat it for every meal if I would be a “good parent” and let them. I’m also pretty certain they sneak in a bite here and there when I’m not looking because the ice cream tub disappears all too fast. But I digress…
Now Pinterest has a ton of recipes for ice cream cakes, but I always fall back on this one due to the simplicity of it.

This is made exactly how it looks. Layer of ice cream sandwiches followed by layer of whip cream, chocolate sauce, chocolate candies and so on and so on. You can really change this up to suit your personal preferences (or that of your child’s). Peanuts, caramel sauce, bananas…the sky is the limit with this one. (NOTE: Next time I would alternate directions of the sandwiches as when cut in to it wanted to topple over.)
You’ll want to put your creation in the freezer until serving time because it is ice cream you know. 🙂
It will look so pretty no one will know how easy it was!
