Delicious and Easy Ham and Pepperoni Stromboli Recipe: Perfect for Pizza Lovers!

There’s something about pizza that brings people together.

Whether it’s a quick weeknight dinner, a late-night snack, or a game day meal, pizza has a way of making any occasion feel more cheerful.

For my family, pizza has been a constant presence in our lives, and two out of three of my children’s first jobs were at a local pizza shop. Whether we are making pizza from scratch, building pizza out of french bread or purchasing a fresh – or frozen – pizza, our family just loves pizza.

But first, let me tell you about my kiddos’ experiences working at a pizza shop. Both of my younger children started working at the same local pizza shop when they turned 16 (and were able to work together for some time which of course warmed my heart).

They were excited to earn some money and learn some tricks-of-the-trade in pizza making. They quickly learned the ropes of working in a fast-paced environment, taking orders and making pizzas. They also learned the value of hard work and teamwork, as the pizza shop is a family-owned business where everyone had to pitch in to keep things running smoothly. And, at the benefit of the rest of the family, they picked up some secrets on how to construct a great tasting pizza that is also balanced and good-looking.

If you’ve never considered your food to be good-looking you’re missing out. #wheremyfoodiesat

As a parent, I am proud to see my children taking on responsibilities and learning important life skills. But I am also happy that their job involved pizza, one of our family’s favorite foods. One of our favorite recipes to create at home is stromboli, a rolled-up pizza dough filled with meats, cheese, and veggies. A stromboli is sort of like a calzone, which is on the pizza shop menu.

One of the great things about pizza – and stromboli’s – is you can customize it to your liking.
