Pinterest-ing Pins | Weekly Inspiration and Reflection | 2/11/2022

Hello Friends! I cannot believe another week has gone by and that it is almost Valentines Day already!

I’m curious what you do for your kiddos for Valentines Day? When my kids were little I would create little valentine bags filled with hearts and love notes and candy and chocolate but now that they are older I just stick to a love note and chocolate (because isn’t that all we really need in life #amiright )

Let me know what you do, and if not for your kiddos but your spouse/friends/co-workers? I’d love to get some new ideas!

As I stated in this post, I became a stay at home mom again as of June 2021. It was time to focus on my health and attempt to rid my body of the stress induced inflammation and pain. So far with being at home I’ve been able to go a more holistic route for the autoimmune issues which include better eating, gentle exercise and stress reduction practices.

Fortunately these practices have helped with the migraines as well. I have been able to prolong the Botox treatment an extra month so far. However, spring is around the corner and Kansas weather changes daily which means so does the barometric pressure (which is trigger for me).

I’ve also had to make a pivot in the business – post coming soon.

I had a bit of what Brene Brown calls a vulnerability hangover with my last Pinteresting Pins post. I tend to feel exposed when I get really personal, but, if I can encourage just one person in a similar situation then it’s worth it.

I really appreciate the DM’s/emails/comments I’ve been receiving – from those who are sending words of encouragement and from those who are receiving encouragement from my very raw and real posts. We are all in this life journey together and if we can hold space for one another and offer a hand to hold along the way then it’s worth it. Thank you. ♥

On to the pins of the week. I hope they inspire you and/or encourage you.

I pray you are blessed and your heart feels all the love. Happy Friday, Friends.

These are THE BEST Keto brownies I have ever tasted. I added whole pecans and Lily’s Chocolate Chips. I also had to bake for an extra 8 minutes. #sodelish

Emotional abuse is very real and very painful. It breaks you down to nothing and makes you question who you are. When the abuser tells you that you are the abusive one YOU BELIEVE THEM even though they deliberately did something to upset you and you reacted. If given the opportunity in front of others they will set you up to look like the out of control/jealous/frantic/selfish person when you’re only reacting to them. The abuser ingrains in you that you are the one who is broken and needing help. But, when you do go to therapy you will find what you are experiencing is ABUSE and you realize you are not as broken as they made you believe you were.

I have always leaned toward neutrals for my home but lately I’ve been drawn to bright colors! Love this living/kitchen area.

And when they come to you, DROP EVERYTHING and listen. If you absolutely cannot drop everything in that moment, tell them that you want to give them 100% of your attention but need a few minutes. Once that time is up go to them and make sure what you say reflects in your actions.

This idea is darling and I had to recreate it for my wall. See THIS POST for how I did it. (Though my kiddos weren’t as enthusiastic about silly faces lol)
