Pinterest-ing Pins | Weekly Inspiration and Reflection | 10/29

Good morning and Happy Friday y’all!

What better way to celebrate a Fri-YAY than reflecting over some things that caught my eye this past week on Pinterest – my FAVORITE social media avenue these days. This morning we (my eldest and I) shopped for our groceries for next weeks menu then stopped by the Bucks for a pumpkin cream cold brew. #teampumpkinspice

These things caught my eye this week and either inspired me in one of my creative passions or intrigued me to ponder and self reflect…because as an INFJ I am a chronic overthinker and sometimes (all the time) stuck inside my head attempting to figure something out or put together pieces of a proverbial puzzle, whether that be a feeling, instinct, concept or situation. Curse or blessing I have no idea.

My hope is you guys feel inspired by these as well, and, if you’re a fellow INFJ know that 1) I totally understand your introverted and overthinking mind – #webethesameperson and 2) maybe something in these posts will resonate with you and move you to reflect on your life/home/surroundings/feelings as well. So sip your drink with me and it will be like we’re on a coffee date. 🙂

Let me know if you’re a fellow INFJ – I’d love to know there are more of us out there – drop me a note and say HI. 🙂 Have a fantastic weekend! Thank you for stopping by the blog every day!

Please join me on Instagram [HERE] or Facebook [HERE] where I share giveaways and announcements. On to the eye and heart catchers for the week. 🙂

XO ~JB

One day you wake up with pain that is tolerable. The next you wake up with pain that makes you feel like your limbs weigh 1000 pounds each, have the flu, ran a marathon and was hit by a dump truck. Even then the pain can change and pain can move around throughout multiple joints/bones/muscles per day. There are times that in an instant it feels like an ice pick has just stabbed me. That is chronic autoimmune inflammation and musculoskeletal pain. Just because someone doesn’t “look” sick on the outside doesn’t mean they aren’t battling something on the inside. Don’t judge and please, always be kind.

This is one of those quotes that makes me reflect over a very VERY long season in my life. In 2017 my life began a painful process of learning truth, listening to (and trusting) my inner voice and recognizing my worth that led to growth, healing, redemption, courage and all the things God had intended to be my testimony. Maybe one day I’ll publicly share my story but for now it’s something I hold close and only share the ugly, painful, intimate and sacred details with those who hold it softly. Those few are the only ones who know the entire rumbling of my story and sat with me in my pain, held my hand through my healing journey and embraced me with genuine love. They will forever be my people. ♥

It was in my rock bottom in 2017 that I found out who was with me. And you know what I found? Those whom I thought would be there disappeared. It was a few dear friends who climbed down the ladder into the pit with me and held me close. Now, after lots of therapy, prayer, healing and personal reflection from that long very season of immeasurable pain, I’ve come to realize that people disappear not because they don’t want to support us in our sea of sorrow but could possibly be because the truth of the situation brought up things in them that they weren’t yet ready to face in themselves, maybe the truth of the situation revealed flaws/struggles/addictions that the family has tried so hard to “sweep under the rug”, or even could have been from not knowing how to support someone in their bottom-of-the-pit grief. And that’s all okay – we are all doing the very best we know how to in the moment. But this also doesn’t mean I’m going to let them back in my circle of influence. I’ve learned that just because you’re related doesn’t mean that if your boat is sinking they will offer you room on theirs…or even genuinely offer a hand to hold. However, I do still love them, pray for them and wish them well. #forgivenessiseverything #boundariesaregoodandnecessary

Romans 8:26 “In the same way the Spirit [comes to us and] helps us in our weakness. We do not know what prayer to offer or how to offer it as we should, but the Spirit Himself [knows our need and at the right time] intercedes on our behalf with sighs and groaning too deep for words.”
