Hello Again, It’s Me: Back and Better Than Ever | The Grand Return to Social Media

After a somewhat long hiatus, I am thrilled to return to social media and posting!

As a small business owner and photographer, I have always been passionate about sharing my creations with the world. From stunning portraits to breathtaking landscapes, my work is a reflection of my creativity and dedication to my craft. And I am so very appreciative of the support you all have given.

Over the past few years, I have been focusing on my healing. If you’ve been following JBPD long enough, you’ve probably read about the health journey I’ve been traveling over the past few years and posted about 2 years ago. (Read about it here.)

I had to break away from everything and put 100% effort into physical and emotional healing. I am grateful for the support of my loved ones and for the flexibility that comes with owning my own business.

But it’s been hard.

Psalm 30:5 states, “…The deepest pains may linger through the night, but joy greets the soul with the smile of morning.” And I clung to the promise that joy – and healing – would come. Having faith doesn’t mean our journey would be easy, or that our trials would be swift. Nor does faith mean that our messy story would come together in pretty little bow.

Having faith means that even when we are in the throes of anguish and messiness of life we can be certain that we are not alone. A new day – a new hope – is coming.

If you are in a place where you need to focus on healing, know that you are not alone. Healing takes time and effort, but it is worth it. Remember that healing is not a linear process, there will be ups and downs, but keep moving forward. Keep pushing, keep healing, and cling to the One who is holding you tenderly. “For I am the Lord your God, who holds your right hand, who says to you, “Do not fear, I will help you.” Isaiah 41:13

The goal for JBPD is the same as it was in this post one year ago on social media.

In addition to showcasing photography, shopping gift guides/deals and digital creations, I also plan to share some of my family’s favorite recipes with you. Cooking has always been a passion of mine, and I love experimenting with new recipes. I will also be working my way through the recipe boxes that my late Grandmother gifted me in 2012. Some of these recipes are from the 1960’s! I can’t wait to share them with you!

Of course, as a small business owner and busy mom, my family is my top priority. I’ll be sharing plenty of photos and stories about my kids and husband (and pups!), as well as juggling volunteer work, family life and autoimmune/chronic illness struggles. I hope that by sharing my own trials and triumphs, I can provide some encouragement to others who are trying to balance it all with a chronic condition.

My faith is also an integral part of my life, and I am excited to share that aspect of myself with my followers. I truly believe that a strong relationship with Jesus can help us navigate even the toughest challenges in life. My work is a reflection of my values, and I am committed to creating content that is uplifting.

I am thrilled to be returning to the blogging world and sharing my passions with all of you.

Thank you for all of your support and encouragement throughout this journey.

Thank you for joining me on this adventure, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds.
